Tropical rainforest depletion. Deforestation. Form 11

Good afternoon, dear students of the 11 th form! Write a comment about the problem of deforestation, using Conditionals II and III. Write a list of practical pieces of advice on how to protect forests all over the world. Write minimum 8 sentences!

26 комментариев:

  1. 1.if forests were not deforestation down, nature would be much cleaner, and there would be more plants, and various species of animals would not become extinct

2.if we had taught people how to treat nature and deforestation, our air would be much cleaner

When you come to the forest, you must behave correctly, you can not break branches of trees and bushes, pluck flowers, catch insects. After all, if everyone who comes to the forest breaks a branch and picks a bouquet of flowers, it will cause a small wound to nature.
You can not light fires in the forest, this may cause a fire, and not only trees, but also animals living in this forest will suffer.
Currently, large areas of forests are being cut down and destroyed without being replenished. Because of this, the forests do not cope with air purification, and it is polluted. Many animals we will never see in person, as they died out, because of the fault of man.

    3. 1)If we do not stop deforestation, our descendants will not see the biodiversity that we see.

2)If our predecessors planted more trees then
the habitat for many animals would increase.
There are several solutions to this problem. The first thing we can do is use renewable resources. The second way to solve this problem is economic. It is necessary to increase the value of forests, thereby making deforestation unprofitable. In addition, we must spend extended hours of educational work with young people. They must understand that deforestation is a key problem in the modern world. It is also necessary to remember that by cutting down forests we destroy the habitats for many animals and plants.A large number of animals and plants are dying out right now at an astounding rate.To preserve this biodiversity, we must create sites to conservation animals and plants. These can be zoos and reserves in which activities will be carried out to protect endangered species of animals and plants.
If we don't think about the future now, we will have to face the consequences.

Rainforests are often referred to as the "lungs of the planet" because they play an important role in the global ecosystem. Rainforests help stabilize the global climate by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. When trees die or burn, the gas is released back into the atmosphere.
Rainforests help maintain the circulation of water as well as food, prevent droughts, and reduce salt erosion. Why are rainforests disappearing?
    1) Small and large-scale agriculture
    2) Cellulose is used for making paper
    3) Construction of roads
    4) Mining and minerals
    5) Fires
    6) cattle Grazing
What can you do to help?
    1) Educate both children and adults about the importance of forests.
    2) Restore damaged ecosystems by planting new trees instead of old ones.
    3) Encourage people to lead a "green" lifestyle.
    4) Create national parks and then the land will not be under threat.
    5) Support and approve companies that minimize harm to forests.

If we had enlightened adults and children about the importance of the forest, we would not have faced environmental problems.(3)

If we could restore damaged ecosystems by planting new trees instead of old ones, we would save a lot of forests.(2)

If we had enlightened adults and children about the importance of the forest, we would not have faced environmental problems.(3)

  3. Conditional 2: If we cut down less trees, then the air would be cleaner.
Conditional 3: If humanity had realized this problem earlier, we would not have faced serious environmental problems.
    Solving the problems of deforestation
Forests are one of the most important ecosystems on Earth. They are home to 80% of all plants, animals, fungi, bacteria and other living things. Almost a quarter of the world's people are directly dependent on forests for their livelihoods. Every day, in addition to clean water, air and food, we use other resources that forests provide us: building materials, paper products, medicinal and food plants.
One of the main problems of preserving and increasing the forest fund is not logging at all, but annual fires, which in most cases arise due to negligence and barbaric attitude towards nature. To avoid a fire situation in the forest, you should:
    1. First, never, anywhere, burn dry grass.
    2. Secondly, do not make fires unnecessarily.
    3. Third, do not let sparks, matches hit the ground.
A significant part of the trees goes to the development of paper; therefore, not a small number of trees are also spent. To do this, you should collect waste paper so as not to throw the paper in the trash, because I don't separate garbage with paper.
Palm oil production has become one of the main causes of rainforest destruction. Palm oil is found in many products sold in supermarkets. Avoiding buying products that contain palm oil can be difficult because it can be disguised in various forms in both cosmetics and food. A possible solution would be to completely abandon the purchase of products from companies that are responsible for deforestation for the production of palm oil.
Another problem is illegal logging by officials. It is very difficult to fight this, but it is worth a try, introducing fines for illegal deforestation.
The simplest strategy to combat deforestation is to plant a tree. Have you heard the story of Jadav Payeng from the Indian island of Majuli? The "Forest Man of India," as the country's former president called Jadava, has planted an entire forest with his own hands - one tree a day for over 40 years.
In our world, there are many options to combat deforestation, but people do not want to disclose this issue. Perhaps when people have nothing to breathe, they will understand and take measures to reduce deforestation. Take care of the forest.

  5. °If there were fewer forests due to deforestation, then we would not be able to breathe normally.
°If we had thought about the problem of deforestation before, the ecology would not have been so bad

We all need to understand that the forest greatly affects the ecology of the planet, because the forest is the lungs of the earth. But let's not blame others for what is happening around. You always have to start with yourself. we just need to remember to do simple, but very important actions when we are all walking or in the forest.
    1) Take a bag with you so that you can put all the trash there, and then throw it in the trash can.
    2) If you decide to make a fire, then do not leave it unattended
    3) Do not forget to extinguish the fire
    4) Do not break nests, anthills, etc., because insects and animals live here, which are very important for ecology in general.
Please think about what's going on around you.All our actions will always lead to something in the future. An example is the fact that many species of animals and plants have become extinct mainly due to our indifference.

  6. The basis of each forest is made up of trees, but there are also shrubs and grasses, mosses and lichens, fungi and others.Over time, trees in the forest began to be actively cut down, because wood now has a valuable economic value. The forest is being harvested at such a rate that it causes huge damage to the environment. The main functions of the forest are air purification and oxygen production.Despite the need to protect the forest and introduce artificial plantings, the forest was and will be in demand, as various goods and materials are made from it, and the forest industry is becoming more and more popular.Unfortunately, the main problem today is forest fires. They have a devastating effect on trees and can completely destroy everything around them. This is because outdoor recreation has become popular, and because of the negligence of people who left garbage and did not put out the fire, this problem occurs.
    What is wood used for?
    - Wood is a great building material. They especially like to use it in the construction of buildings and furniture production.
    -Paper production.
    - Making a huge number of things: wooden toys, musical instruments, decorative items, tools and much more.
    Consequences of deforestation:
    - it is one of the causes of global warming.
    - extinction of many species of living organisms.
    - desertification.
    - reducing the amount of oxygen produced by forests.
How to reduce the amount of deforestation?
    1. try to use less wood in construction.
    2. to increase the planting of landscaping.
    3. reprocessed materials made of wood.

If we didn't pollute the forest, it would be cleaner now. (2)
If we hadn't left the fire extinguished, there would have been no forest fires after that.(3)

If we had educated people our everyday actions can impact forests around the world, our air would be much cleaner.

if forests were not cut down, we wouldn"t have enviromental problems.

Some people’s activities do a lot of harm to the forests. People cut down trees to build houses, roads and factories. Deforestation is a very serious environmental problem.
Forests are homes to millions of kinds of exotic animals, birds, reptiles, insects, strange plants and beautiful flowers. If we destroy their habitat many of them will not survive.
The forests also help to reduce pollution levels in the atmosphere and affect the weather around the world. Without rainforests our planet might not survive.
People know it but continue to destroy forests every day.
Logging companies cut down trees to sell the wood, farmers clear the land to grow food crops, people build towns and roads where the forest used to be. Vast forests are cut and burn in fire. Their disappearance upsets the oxygen balance. As a result, a number of rivers and lakes dry up, some rare species of animals, fish, birds and plants disappear forever.
And now some practical pieces of advice on how to protect forests.
    According to GeenpeaceUSA we should:
-Reduce your consumption of single-use products.
-Demand that companies commit to reduce deforestation through forest-friendly policies and follow through on those commitments.
-Educate your friends, family, and community about how our everyday actions can impact forests around the world.
-Avoid false solutions like biofuels, biomass, or carbon offsets that rely on wishful thinking, yet in practice release more greenhouse gas emissions.
-Demand that your governments only source forest commodities in a way that ensures the protection of nature and respects human rights.

And in conclusion I want to say, that forests play a very important role in the existence of our planet and we must do our best to preserve it.

  8. Our forests are natural absorbers of carbon dioxide and produce fresh oxygen and help regulate temperature and rainfall. Currently, forests cover 30% of the land, but every year the tree cover is lost, making up Panama in the country due to the growing population demand for more food, shelter and clothing. Deforestation simply means clearing green spaces and making that land available for residential, industrial or commercial purposes.
What can an ordinary person do to prevent deforestation?
    1. Planned and regulated tree felling.
Commercial tree felling is one of the main causes of forest felling. Although trees are considered a permanent resource, they are used on a very large scale. It is estimated that around 1600 million cubic meters of timber has been used for various purposes around the world. If trees are cut down at this level, their revival is impossible.
    2. Buy only FSC certified wood.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) ensures that these products are sourced in an environmentally responsible manner; if a product is not FSC certified, boycott it as you will support unsustainable deforestation by buying and funding these products.
    3. Use double-sided paper.
If you need to print, then print on both sides of the page. This will cut paper consumption in half, which will save half the trees in the forest.
    4. Switch to Bamboo Paper.
Bamboo is easily resilient and grows to maturity within five years, much faster than trees. They have exactly the same functions. Try to use bamboo paper as much as possible to reduce the demand for paper produced by trees.
    5. Plant more trees.
    Does this need an explanation?
    6. Reuse of gift bags, various packaging, and more.
If you think it's tasteless, opt for a recyclable gift bag.

In my opinion, if all people together and each individually follow these simple six tips, then in the future humanity will be able to avoid many environmental problems.

If the people of our planet followed these advice, it would not lead to today's environmental disasters.
    CONDITIONAL 3
    1. If the people of our planet had previously followed these tips, it would not have led to today's environmental disasters.
    2. If people have taken care of the environment since the industrial revolution, then today we would breathe cleaner air.
    CONDITIONAL 2
If greenhouse gases did not exist, then the temperature on Earth would be 15 °C less.

  9. 1.If trees were not used as a building materials, then there would be no problem of deforestation.
    2. If the trees were not cut down to build houses, the forests would not have been devastated.
Firstly, forests are rapidly disappearing all over the world, alarming many people. The loss of this natural resource could spell disaster for our planet. Most of us are unsure of how we can do anything to stop this. How can we prevent this global crisis? Well, chaining yourself to a tree might make a statement, but there are many more efficient ways to prevent deforestation. Protecting the world’s forests should be our very first priority in fighting global warming and climate change. Forests are critical to life on earth.
Secondly, whether it is your children, friends, or colleagues, the more aware are the people of what they can do to help prevent deforestation, is the better.
Regulations help to prevent deforestation because it allows for a time of re-growth due to the rotational approach most of these regulations have. This can also be referred to as sustained yield.

What can a person do to help prevent deforestation?
    1. Ditch the Printer
    2. Use double-sided paper
    3. Plant trees
    4. Use reusable containers
    5. Buy used wooden furniture
    6. Educate others
    7. Laws and rules help prevent deforestation.

In conclusion, ending deforestation is our best chance to conserve wildlife and defend the rights of forest communities. On top of that, it’s one of the quickest and most cost effective ways to curb global warming. That’s why we’re campaigning for a deforestation-free future.

Deforestation is one of the most serious problems that the Earth is facing these days. Cutting down trees leads to a partial loss of oxygen, deprives animals of their habitats and affects the climate. These factors may cause the environmental problems and change the world for the worst.

First of all, people's need for products made from woods makes them suffer from a climate and an environmental changes caused by the greenhouse effect. The more trees there are on the Earth, the more carbon dioxide they absorb, which prevents us from the greenhouse effect. However, the reducing number of nature's "filters" makes the situation worse, adding global warming and harm to people's health to the list of our problems.

Secondly, as deforestation leaves some animals without their habitats they become extinct. The species are exposed to winds, rains, sun rays, snowfalls, unfamiliar environment and humans so they have no choice but relocating to find shelters. It results in natural resources and food shortage because animals are an essential part of the nature's chain.

Another reason why forests' destruction is harmful is that a lot of people who live nearby the forests are left without their homes. They start protesting deforestation which is usually invain and may get in troubles because of the willingness to win back their houses.

To sum up, deforestation is among problems on everyones lips but which nobody is trying to stop. It totally changes our planet causing many problems. This is is a warning bell to the Earth population to use stuff made from trees wisely and find a way to protect our planet.

  11. How does deforestation affect the environment?
Deforestation is a problem that has been brought to the fore in the international arena in recent decades. Unfortunately, as human needs increase, so does the deforestation rate. As urbanization develops, more and more land is needed, but at what cost? MoreApp brings you some shocking facts and figures to help you understand how deforestation affects our environment, why our forests are so important, and why we must protect them.

What is deforestation? This is the felling of trees and deforestation for use for purposes such as agricultural expansion, housing, or even illegal logging. As the human population continues to grow, the planet is at increased risk.

How does deforestation threaten the environment?

Deforestation has many negative consequences for the environment, we tried to narrow them down:

It is assumed that in 100 years there will be no more rain forests on the earth.
    Loss of biodiversity.
One and a half acres of forest are cleared every second.
The rate of deforestation is equal to the loss of 20 football fields every minute.
Up to 28,000 species are expected to disappear by the next quarter century due to deforestation.
    Deforestation affects the water cycle.
    Why are forests so important?

They provide a habitat for animals and a livelihood for humans.
They cover about 30% of the world.
20% of the world's oxygen is produced in the Amazon forest.
Trees are essential components of the ecosystem, sequestering carbon.
More than 25% of the medicines we use come from rainforest plants.
Forests protect reservoirs, prevent soil erosion and mitigate climate change.
What can we do to avoid deforestation?

The number of newly planted trees is increasing every year, but the total is still a tiny fraction of what the planet really needs. Stopping logging requires strong political will from leaders of all countries.

However, your strength as a consumer is vital to stop deforestation! As in any business, if there is no demand, the supply will decrease. Fortunately, there are green companies that are helping to reduce logging. They need your support.
