Lida castle
I would advise a tourist to visit Lida castle. It’s one of the finest archeological monuments officially protected by the state. It’s situated in Grodno region. Tourist would see with their own eyes the red-brick castle which has seen many battles. Besides, they would get acquainted with the history of this castle, that it helped people to rebuild their houses after the fire. Moreover, tourists could visit this castle any season they’d like. But the best season to visit the castle is in summer because knights’ tournaments are regularly held in this castle. But if you want to visit it in winter it’ll be great because the castle is the best ice-skating rink. Then, after visiting Lida castle a tourist could go to Minsk, the capital of Belarus or to Grodno. It’s the similar distance from the castle. Finally, tourists’ visit could help the castle invest money into its keeping. Belarusian castles are the most fascinating and worth visiting in the world. I advise everybody to visit castles because it’s our history and we should know it.

УдалитьI would advise a tourist to visit Palace of the Puslovskys in Kossovo. It is a unique monument of the neo-Gothic architecture of the XIX century. It is located in Belarus, in the city of Kossovo.
ОтветитьУдалитьThis castle was nicknamed the "dreams of knights" for its magical appearance and grandeur. This castle has an incredibly interesting and difficult fate. Vandalin Puslovsky began construction of a magnificent palace in Kossovo in 1838.The design of the palace was proposed by the outstanding architect Francishek Yaschold. The palace in Kossovo is unique in its own way. It consists of a central two-story building and two wings. The palace boasts more than 100 rooms without walking rooms. The palace was surrounded by a magnificent park with more than 150 kinds of exotic plants. And the terraces of the park led to three artificial lakes and the estate of Kosciuszko. The castle several times changed the hosts, and during the First World War was completely ransacked. And after the second world because of the fires only the magnificent walls survived. There are many legends about this fairytale castle. This beautiful place is amazing with its beauty and grandeur. Getting there, you find yourself in a fairy tale about princes princesses. If you restore this castle, it will enjoy immense popularity with tourists around the world. After all, who does not want to visit a fairy tale?
Agreed, Angelina. I would like to visit this place , too.
УдалитьThere are a lot of castles in Belarus that have not been restored yet . Now I will tell you why you should restore those locks. As an example, I took Bykhov castle . Firstly in Bykhov there is the only preserved castle-fortress of Belarus of the 17th century. The castle was built by Jan Karol Khodkevich in the 17th century as a country residence and by 1619 the construction of the castle on the right shore of the Dnieper river was almost finished. Throughout its history, the Bykhov castle suffered many assaults and sieges. Secondly castle armourers made weapons and metal armor, which were in demand not only in Belarus. Grenades, cannons and cоre were produced here. It is not surprising that the castle in Bykhov became the most powerful fortress, which during the war of Moscow and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth proved its strength. More than once Bykhov castle was destroyed. In the early 18th century Bykhov castle finally collapsed. Soon the fortress was restored, but after the entry of the Belarusian territories into the Russian Empire Bykhov lost its importance as a border town. Soon lost its strategic importance and the castle. During the World war 2, the fortress had a German headquarters, where Jews were tortured and killed. To date, there are unburied remains. In the third with three sides of the Bykhov castle was surrounded by moats and earthen ramparts, and its strengthening was a defensive tower. When the castle came into the possession of the Sapega it was substantially rebuilt. It was possible to get to the construction on the wooden bridge through gate. Bykhov castle has a very rich history that you need to see with your own eyes. Thus, the restoration of the castle will help us to learn more about the history of our past and plunge into the world of knight tournaments and lovely ladies in luxurious dresses.
ОтветитьУдалитьVenera, the restoration of the castle will definitely open undiscovered pages of the history of our native Mogilev region.
УдалитьBelarus is known not only for its forests, fields and rivers, but also for its beautiful castles, which are located throughout the country. Most of all I like Kossovo Castle and that's it I would advise tourists to visit. It belonged to many noble families but in the 19th century it was bought by the family of the Puslovskys. The Puslovskys organized carpet manufacture in Kosovo and developed the town. Beautiful and grandiose richly decorated palace was built in 1838. The Puslovsky palace had more than 100 rooms. In one of them, as evidenced by some historians there was the glass floor to watch the aquarium with floating fishes. The palace was famous for its library, which contained more than 10 thousand books. There is another legend that the owners had a lion to avoid thefts. Every night he was unleashed and allowed to roam the corridors of the palace silently guarding the property of the owners. It may look as a defensive castle but it never had that role. It was damaged greatly during the World War II and was left abandoned in soviet times but since 2008 the reconstruction started. It is not finished yet and goes slowly but one day it will become hotel and restaurant complex in the accurately restored palace. And this will give the guest opportunity to live in a real 19th century palace and lead the life that Belarusian gentry used to lead. This is a beautiful Palace with a very interesting history and everyone should visit this place.
ОтветитьУдалитьThank you for your advice!
УдалитьBelarus is known for its beautiful and picturesque places and reconstructions, which tourists from other countries can visit. It is impossible to single out one place from a huge number, but I will try to do it. I want to note the Puslovsky Palace. This place is located in the city of Kossovo, Brest region. The palace was built by the governor Kazimir Puslovsky. It began to erect in 1838. The building is created in the style of the Gothic Revival and consists of 12 towers, which symbolize the months of the year. They say that the building had a glass floor, and under it an aquarium with fish, a living lion guarded the building. After the suppression of Kastus Kalinouski in 1863, the palace was confiscated and given to Moscow aristocrats. After the First World War, it was heavily destroyed, then reconstructed and used as administrative premises. During the Second World War, the fascists in the palace made a ghetto, at the end of the war part of the building destroyed a fire. This place has a rich history. Any tourist will be very interested to visit there.
ОтветитьУдалитьThank you, Angelina!
УдалитьI would like to promote Ruzhany castle, becouse it's a monument of architecture of the XVII century in baroque and classicism styles and it's really seems old.
ОтветитьУдалитьThe area of castle look like ellipse, may be becouse some parts of wall are broken, it's happend becouse of great fire and becouse of stealing of stones by people after World War II. Some parts of this castle look like ruin. Only the main building and the eastern one, the entry gate and several outbuildings survived.
This castle belonged to Sapegi family. The castle was founded in 1602. There was a building of theatre in 1784. It was one of the best theatres in Europe, also there was the biggest libbrary in the the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and treasury of the country. So it was an important castle in medival time, and it has rich history.
Now only one part of this castle was renovated, it's the entry gate. I hope that all parts of this castle will be renovated and we will show our history with castle to foreign turists.
thank you for your opinion, Egor!
